Matthew Burton, MD

Dr. Matthew Burton is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He earned his degree in biological science from McNeese State University before completing his medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport.

He completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Missouri, where he received advanced training in robotic-assisted neurosurgery and the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Dr. Burton specializes in comprehensive spinal care for the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. His philosophy centers on providing individualized pain management plans aimed at non-surgical recovery whenever possible. These plans include referrals to top therapy programs tailored to each patient's specific needs.

When conservative treatments are not sufficient, Dr. Burton performs interventional pain management procedures such as spinal injections and nerve blocks, as well as minimally invasive spine surgery using the latest robotic-assisted technology.
